Israel and its supporters in the U.S. and the U.K. have engaged in a vicious campaign of censorship against those who would speak out against Israel and the violations of Palestinian rights. Media conglomerates have controlled the narrative in the U.S. and the U.K. as well. The New York Times and the BBC, for example, are accused of pro-Israel bias. Trump forced China and Tik Tok's parent company to sell Tik Tok to staunch Zionist Larry Ellison's son, who now owns Paramount, CBS, and Tik Tok. Mit Romney spoke publicly about the need to control social media for its pro Palestinian posts. Hillary Clinton lamented social media when discussing the younger generation's support for Palestine, as though support for Palestine were somehow anathema.

Media Censorship

The New York Times famously got caught telling its journalists to avoid using words like "apartheid," "occupation," and "genocide. Rupert Murdoch has guided the narrative tone of Fox News for decades, and he is a supporter of Israel. Now, Larry Ellison, the billionaire owner of Oracle, has entered into the media space into order to steer public opinion in favor of Israel. Through his son, David, he has financed David's entry into Hollywood as a producer and then into media ownership of Paramount +, which owns CBS, Tik Tok, and the efforts to acquire Warner Brothers, which owns HBO. Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton went on speaking tours and decried the empathy toward Palestine that social media has purportedly fostered (as though people could not have original ideas based on facts that Israel is committing a genocide and is running an apartheid state).

Continued Efforts to Pass Bills to Adopt International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance’s (IHRA) definition of antisemitism

The objection is that the expanded definition stifles criticism of Israel because it includes claiming the state of Israel is a racist endeavor and comparing contemporary Israeli policies to those of the Nazis. Israel is racist. And its annihilation of Gaza and the apartheid state and murder of more than 700,000 people should be scrutinized. While it is important to guard against discrimination against Jews, it is also important not to let antisemitism be weaponized to stifle speech concerning Israel.
